Cooking to me was innovation in a tough way. I guess experiments with a lot of permutations and combinations is the best way to master it.


Snack - Veg Puff

Veg Puff - Serves 4

Ingredients

Puff Pastry Sheet
Vegetables (Carrot, Beans)
Finely chopped
Ginger Garlic paste
Pototoes Boiled - 2
Peas Boiled - 1/2 Cup

Masalas:

Garam Masala - 1 TSP
Chilli powder - 1 TSP
Ground Pepper - 1/4 TSP
Turmeric POwer - A pinch
Coriander
Salt to taste
Oil

Procedure:

For the pastry sheets

  • Thaw the pastry sheets 2 - 3 hours before preparation. Each sheet can make upto 3 Puffs
  • Sprinkle some all purpose flour on a flat surface and place the sheets over it and roll each single pastry sheet into thin sheets.
  • Divide the elongated sheets into 3 or 4 pieces of dersired lenght and thickness.
  • Repeat the process for the rest of the sheets to make 10 or more puffs

For the Stuffing

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add the Ginger Garlic paste and saute till the raw smell fades.
  • Add the finely chopped vegies and saute them till they are fuly cooked.
  • Add in the mashed and boiled potatoes and peas and saute for another 2 - 3 mins.
  • Add all the masalas and give a brief stir to the vegies, Switch off stove
  • Sprinkle chopped corainder

For the Puff filling

  • Spoon in enough stuffing into the rolled and cut portion of the Pastry. Seal the edges using a fork or fingers to get a rectangle shaped patty. Continue for the rest of the pastries.
  • Place all of them in a aluminium foil lined tray and bake for 20 mins under 350 Degrees F'
  • Serve with any sauce or Chutney
